Commercial Property Sales Down in Charlotte

Commercial property sales for the Charlotte, N.C., area dropped 81
percent for the year ending June 30 to $450 million,
according to LoopNet. The commercial real estate listing service
said that the biggest drop came in the industrial sector,
which had $77 million in sales compared to $579 million in June
2008. Office property sales fell to $128 million from $650
million a year earlier, while retail sales dropped to $185 million
from $298 million.
